About This Event

About The Event

We will explore a variety of locations including the Lanes, surrounding streets, and the seafront area, using the constantly changing environment to create strong, story-led images. This workshop is about learning how to see photographs in busy spaces, rather than waiting for perfect moments.

What happens on the day?

We will be looking at a variety of subjects and techniques, including;
Street Photography Fundamentals
Composition in Busy Environments
Visual Storytelling
Working with Colour and Contrast
Capturing Movement and Gesture
Layering and Framing
Anticipating Moments
Basic Camera Settings for Street Photography
Shooting Confidently in Public Spaces

This course is completely practical and these topics are delivered in a fun, enthusiastic, and jargon-free style, with plenty of time to shoot, observe, and discuss images as we go.

Who will be there on the day?
The training will be led by Andy Hornby.
As a highly experienced, published photographer and photography tutor, Andy brings a relaxed, approachable teaching style that helps photographers build confidence while developing their own way of seeing the street.
